Teltonika: User permissions

Modified on Sun, 7 Aug, 2022 at 5:34 PM

Overview: How to enable or restrict user permissions to various GUI features

Login to the GUI as an admin user

Navigate to System > System Users > User management

Edit the group, normally "users"

Edit permissions

Note the 2 permission headings: "Write Action: Allow" & "Read Action: Allow", and under each section a list of "Write Access" & "Read Access" features - these lists determine what features the users can see (read) and change (write).

...

Example features

Sadly the features do not all directly correspond to the headings on the Teltonika web pages in the GUI and are not in strict alphabetical order, so a little guess work may be involved to match the precise feature; log in as a user to verify if the behavior is as expected - be sure to add the feature to BOTH the "write" and "read" lists if your want the user to be able to change or modify the service. Here's a small list of some common features:

Permission value
Description
network/interfacesLAN and mobile settings
network/firewallFirewall rules and port forwarding
services/mobile_utilitiesMobile utilities
services/auto-rebootAuto-reboot
services/ioI/O
services/events_reportingEvents reporting
services/ntpcNTP time service
system/multiusers/change_password
Change own password, but not others

Extended lists

These are the main headings from a TRB140 (many headings will have more detailed sub-headings, such as " services/mobile_utilities/sms"; over 150 different permissions).
