Overview: how to set a public IP using only the touchscreen LCD display on a MikroTik router. Before commencing please ensure that the Ethernet port 1 ("ether1") is attached to the NTE/U (Network Termination Equipment/Unit), which is usually the fibre optic equipment that the engineer has installed.

Note: these screens are resistive (not like a phone), so some pressure is required - we recommend a plastic pen cap!
