Overview: The WAN ports arrive out-of-the-box in DHCP client mode, so connecting to any existing internet such as a 5G router, will enable the device to be online and remotely configured using GDMS cloud. However, for FTTP (PPPoE), DIA (datacentre IP address), and some other connection types these are the steps needed to configure a GCC60xx device with initial internet, after which everything else can be configured online using GDMS cloud.
IMPORTANT: Once online IMMEDIATLEY check for updated firmware (https://www.grandstream.com/support/firmware) - do not skip this vital security recommendation!

Once logged in using the "admin" password printed on the label, the Apps are along the top bar; "PBX" (Private Branch Exchange) refers to any phone system that can manage extensions (phones) and route calls.

WAN config
Navigate to the Networking app > Network Settings > WAN > [Select the WAN - 1, 2 ,3 - that you want to use]
Click the Edit icon > IPv4 Settings > Connection Type: change from "DHCP" to either "static IP" (for DIA) or "PPPoE" (for FTTP)
- For DIA ("static IP") enter IP, subnet, gateway
- For FTTP ("PPPoE") enter:
- PPPoE Account: the PPPoE username ("example@myisp.net")
- PPPoE password
- Under "Preferred/Alternative DNS Server" enter: 208.67.222.222 & 9.9.9.9 (better to specify DNS for reliability)
- Advanced Settings > Tracking IP Type > Custom: Tracking IP 8.8.8.8 (better to specify Google DNS to track if online)
- [Save]
IMPORTANT: Do not skip specifying the routing policy, since "Load Balancing" can cause your preferred internet port to appear offline,
> Routing > Policy Routes > [Edit]
- Mode: Standby (this enables a failover WAN port and disables "Load Balancing" attempts)
- Balancing Strategy: Connection-Based
- Preferred Interface: [Nominate the WAN port you configured above]
- Standby Interface: (Even if you are not using one, nominate a backup WAN port; this ensures "Load Balancing" is not attempted, which can cause your main internet to appear to have intermittent symptoms)
Testing
Within a few minutes your router status should appear as online in the GDMS cloud, where you can run IPv4 Ping on the Debug tab.
Admin tip
On the Home app navigate to System Settings > Security Settings > Remote Access without Password (tab) > [Enable "Remote Access without Password" so that GDMS Admin users who have already authenticated using MFA can gain instant access to this router for remote troubleshooting purposes]
