How to connect to Wi-Fi
Admin tip: these phones come out-of-the-box with the Wi-Fi SSID "wp_master" and passkey "p!987@dmin" - if you create this SSID on your router then the phones will automatically connect to the internet, and pull their correct config from GDMS! (This tip works for all other Wi-Fi models including the WP836). This method negates the need for manually connecting to Wi-Fi, however we list the manual steps below for situations where you cannot control the Wi-Fi.
Manually connect to Wi-Fi using the keypad
Press the ok key (inside the circle of navigation keys) and navigate to access the menu![]() | ![]() |

...select your Wi-Fi SSID name. Enter the password using the numeric keys which have A-Z printed on them; for example, tap the "2" key repeatedly and it will cycle through "ABC" (upper-case), "abc" (lower-case), then the number "2". You can use the lower 3 keys ( * 0 # ) to access special characters. | ![]() |
