Modified on Sat, 30 Dec 2023 at 05:33 PM

Overview: Useful tools for anyone with an Android phone to accurately locate the mobile mast that they are currently connected to.

There are several apps to help, and in this article we used Opensignal - click here to get the app on the Play store: Opensignal - 5G, 4G Speed Test - Apps on Google Play

IMPORTANT: Disable Wi-Fi (leave "mobile data" enabled)

Launch the Opensignal app

Click the "Map" tab (bottom-right), then click "Cell Towers" to display known masts in the area:

Tap the icon of the mast that you connected to (blue line), and it should display the "CELL ID":

If we've asked for the Cell ID please report back to us and we can then continue with further diagnostics.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to re-enable Wi-Fi after closing the Opensignal app.
